By proxy of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Naples, the Direzione Investigativa Antimafia carried out an order of preventive seizure of a whole building in S. Gennaro Vesuviano. The order had been issued by the investigating judge (GIP) at the court in Naples upon request of the Anti-Mafia District Directorate.
In particular, investigations revealed that a person, suspected of having received and sold stolen goods under the aggravating circumstance of the so-called mafia method – since the crime had been committed in order to favour the interests of the Fabbrocino clan – had allegedly received the sums paid by others to rent the building, which, in turn, is suspected of having been unlawfully obtained through fictitious registration and money laundering.
This preventive measure was taken as a result of preliminary investigations and may be challenged. The affected party is an investigated person and shall be presumed innocent until final conviction.
