On a joint proposal of the Public Prosecutor in Bari and the DIA Director, the Direzione Investigativa Antimafia carried out a seizure order issued by the Court in Bari – Section Preventive Measures against an entrepreneur from Cerignola (FG), operating in the olive oil trade.
In the past, the entrepreneur had already been subject to personal preventive measures and considering the sentences issued against him from the end of the 80s, he can be counted as one of the main traffickers of adulterated olive oil both at national and international level.
The operation, which resulted from a thorough investigative activity carried out by the DIA, highlighted the deep disproportion between the income capacity of the entrepreneur and his family.
The seizure concerned a company dealing with bottling olive and seeds oil and the building complex consisting of the factory and a plot of land, No. 3 cars, No. 3 apartments and a number of financial interests for a total amount of approx. over 1.5 million euros.
In order to achieve the permanent confiscation of the assets, the order has to be submitted to the defence of the entrepreneur for confrontation.
